The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, we are looking for an organised Account Assistant who will work with the Accounting department to maintain and report the company’s finances.


What you’ll be doing

  • Ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable by monitoring and following up on outstanding invoices and addressing payment-related queries
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Processing and analysing invoices, payments, and reports
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Supporting the finance team in annual audits and financial reviews
  • Create and maintain of sales invoices and the back-up date in excel
  • Purchase Ledger maintenance
  • Perform reconciliation of all base and foreign currency bank accounts
  • Petty cash maintenance
  • Set up new customers and any relevant sales orders
  • Supporting the team with inbox queries and handling correspondence

What you’ll need

  • Relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in SaaS
  • Understanding of accounting principles and VAT
  • Knowledge of Xero software or Accounts IQ software (not necessary as training will be provided)
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, specifically Excel
  • Experience of managing month end reconciliations
  • A strategic mindset who understands the big picture
  • The ability to maintain a high standard of compliance and confidentiality
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the experience and capability to translate insights into action
  • Strong attention-to-detail and an ability to work independently
  • A flexible approach to work
